Dog whisperer

I’ve hired and photographed more dog models than actual human models.  Both these pups are therapy dogs, the bulldog puppies were photographed for the breeder.Welks_16-160 Fran_Laf-216frank2lr0184frank

Medical Center, Day in the Life

I am often called on to make images to explain medicine, and to help educate and ease anxiety for patients.  Sometime the images are also used for community building on a large campus.

Aerial Photography for Large Real Estate Transactions

I am frequently called on by clients from, NYC to California, to produce high quality aerial photography for real estate transactions of Indiana parcels. While I am considering purchase of a drone, these images were all made from aircraft, at altitudes or locations not permitted by current FAA drone regulations. Researchers and career milestones

I photograph frequently for Purdue University.  Recently I visited Dr. Arun Ghosh, in the department of Medicinal Chemistry.  Making portraits that tell the story of a person’s passion and career, is something I’ve loved doing since the 1980’s, when I was a student of the works of Arnold Newman and Yousuf Karsh.Dr. Arun Ghosh

Seeing…

Seeing what isn’t apparent at first glance. It’s what photographers do, we do more than take pictures, we ‘see’. 0031LSB_47906 0057trafficDSC_7333-2 0067untitled

Aerial Assignments

An engineering firm asked me to document a few projects from the air. I was within a couple miles of the Fowler Ridge turbine field, so I directed the pilot to fly to the turbines.  With the  work for the engineers completed,  this bonus is one of my favorite images of the morning’s flight.
