I photograph frequently for Purdue University. Recently I visited Dr. Arun Ghosh, in the department of Medicinal Chemistry. Making portraits that tell the story of a person’s passion and career, is something I’ve loved doing since the 1980’s, when I was a student of the works of Arnold Newman and Yousuf Karsh.
Collectors of ceramics contacted me to photograph some of their collection for a museum show catalog.
Seeing what isn’t apparent at first glance. It’s what photographers do, we do more than take pictures, we ‘see’. 
An engineering firm asked me to document a few projects from the air. I was within a couple miles of the Fowler Ridge turbine field, so I directed the pilot to fly to the turbines. With the work for the engineers completed, this bonus is one of my favorite images of the morning’s flight.

The owners/builders of this wonderful home have a lifetime of memories within. They are moving onward and commissioned me to document the home. These photographs are part of the multi-faceted undertaking.

I was retained to photograph a group of cutting edge consultants for a new initiative. I was given the freedom to do something unexpected and engaging, the client was pleased. My studio may be in the middle of Chicago, Indianapolis, and nowhere; I am equipped to do big city work. Four hundred pound, 12 foot Foba studio stand to get shots like this, and plenty of lighting. I’ve worked with Kate, Big Louie, and Frank for a number of years. This still life is for the 2014 From Frank®

During a sub-zero week in January, Purdue University asked me to photograph some of the new buildings going up. Key was, they didn’t want it to look like winter. At least you get blue skies even thought it can be -15F at 2pm.
2014 is off to fast pace; about 30 assignment at Purdue and around the state so far. Today my customer, and friend Ralph Privoznik, asked me to update his web page. Ralph produces custom jewelry.
